Become and Escapees RV Parks Manager In Training!

Escapees is built on the philosophies of caring and sharing and have catered to RV enthusiasts and full-time travelers since 1978. So our brand and the experience of our campground guests are special to use. In order to create the proper experience and knowledge of our Escapees RV Parks we prefer prior Escapees Campground Host and/or Maintenance & Groundskeeper experience, but it is not required. These considerations will be based on the applicants’ skills, working knowledge, and resume background.

Facilities Manager

Directs, coordinates, and participates in the repair, upkeep, and maintenance of the park. This position requires working to keep the park clean, tidy, and fully functional.

Office Manager

Directs the daily operations of the office and provides general supervision to those scheduled in the office. Master of the reservation system, park policies, and procedures.

* Usually, the Facilities Manager is partnered with an Office Manager, or vice versa, and as a team support both the inside clerical and outside maintenance requirements of the park. However, this is not a requirement of application and singles may also apply for either position.

Facilities Manager – Responsibilities and Duties:

Supports the goals, objectives, and policies of Escapees RV Parks and Escapees RV Club.
Works with park workers in mowing grass, maintaining grounds and swimming pools, collecting trash and performing necessary maintenance to keep park tidy, neat, and fully functional. This may include, but is not limited to, buildings (construction, painting), lighting, landscaping, which may include flowers, bushes, grass and trees.
Working knowledge of all staff positions dealing with daily operations of the park and will be required to do any of those duties as needed to meet operational needs. Effectively and efficiently operate park computers and reservations system.
Works with park workers in cleaning of restrooms, clubhouse and park office, as well as any other facility that may be in the park.
Identifies all campground and equipment maintenance problems. Does repairs within his/her capabilities and works with park workers so that preventive maintenance can be completed in a timely manner. Consults with office manager on all repairs, and gets prior approval from the Chief Administrative Officer when outside contractors need to be called in.
Marks and secures any unsafe areas until they can be reported to headquarters and proper repairs can be made. Properly locks out or secures any unsafe equipment, and tags equipment as being out of service. Instructs staff to never operate or use any tagged-out equipment.
Ensures that an accurate inventory is maintained of all equipment and cleaning supplies, and that they are made available.
Performs Office Manager and Activity Coordinators duties when necessary.
At times, when a schedule is not sent from Chief Administrative Officer, this employee will schedule park workers for the most efficient use of manpower to cover all maintenance tasks and office needs.
Recommends and assists in developing procedures for the overall operation of the park.
Dispenses propane at locations where applicable.
Resolves complaints and/or problems and promotes good public relations on site.
Other duties as needed to keep the park in good condition and operational standing.

Office Manager – Responsibilities and Duties:

Supports the goals, objectives, and policies of Escapees RV Parks and Escapees RV Club.
At the direction of the Facilities Manager or Chief Administrative Officer, there may be times when the office manager is required to perform the duties of the Facilities Manager.
Working knowledge of all staff positions dealing with daily operations of the park and will be required to do any of those duties as needed to meet operational needs. Effectively and efficiently operate park computers and reservations system.
Shares in the responsibility for the overall safety of the property operated by Escapees RV Parks, as well as the safety of visitors and the safe work habits of the staff, especially as it applies to the general office and surrounding area. Participates in regular safety meetings and ensures that proper safety equipment is available and used by the staff in the performance of their duties.
Oversees the office operations to include guest reservations.
Accounts for all income and makes bank deposits in a timely fashion. Transmits the accounting to Chief Administrative Officer.
Accounts for all expenditures and pays all accounts payable in a timely manner. Assists Chief Administrative Officer in controlling cost of operations of the office and sends monthly report of park operations.
Ensures that the office and surrounding area is kept clean, tidy and fully functions, to include restrooms in office.
Ensures that an accurate inventory is maintained of all equipment, cleaning supplies, club products, and that they are made available.
Identifies and reports all campground and equipment maintenance problems. Consults with Facilities Manager on all repairs, and gets prior approval from the Chief Administrative Officer when outside contractors need to be called in.
Resolves complaints and/or problems and promotes good public relations on site.
Answers telephones and posts or delivers messages to the members.
Answers correspondence with neatly written letters and grammar.
Posts general messages for campground visitors and delivers emergency messages.
Provides information to prospective members and answers questions about Escapees RV Club membership. Acts as an on-site recruiter.
Other duties as needed are to keep the park in good operational standing.

*Please understand the training is applicable only to the eight Escapees RV Parks. These eight parks are operated under the Escapees RV Parks organization and have consistent policies and procedures. If you are interested in working for an SKP Co-Op you must apply directly to that Co-Op.

Commitment & Training

We require a minimum 6-month commitment which includes a dedicated minimum 4-week training process. Will require travel to a different location following training based on staffing needs.
